WARNING! Warning!!! Recently a check scam has been perpetrated against a business customer of Heartland Community Bank. The scam originates from Canada and promises significant rewards to the recipients that agree to cash checks drawn on the account of Nationwide Auto Transport, Inc. These checks have been written on account #55843270 in various amounts ranging from $3992.28 to 4,495.30. The checks are bogus and will be returned “Account Closed” if they are presented for payment.
